Activity

S­IC provides students opportunity of learning product planning process and management through actual marketing practice. By uploading original product idea as a project and by presentation of idea to many people, students are able to learn see actual wild market behaviour even before their graduation.

Junzo Ishii, a president of University of Marketing and Distribution Science said, “World is wide, but this is a only place that student can learn practical marketing, from planning proposal to product development based on user’s real voice. Also it is interesting that students can know the activities of rival teams in real time as competition style. This is a best learning place for marketing students.”

Overview of process

S­College program lasts 6 months in every year. It begins with presentation of product idea to participant makers and manufactures at opening ceremony.

Until closing ceremony, each team polish their ideas through communication with makers, teachers and users on CUUSOO platform. Some of nominated projects are selected by makers and manufacturers for production in the cooperation of professional product designer.

    1. Student presentation to participant makers and manufacturers

    2. ­Student updates product idea based on maker’s advice

    3. ­Gather voting from CUUSOO users

    4. ­Modify product idea based on voting number and comments by users

    5. Final presentation to participant makers and manufacturers

    6. Makers and manufacturers selects the projects for actual production.

    7. Manufacture the projects with professional product designers.

    8. Product launched
